Jen deserved to win, her painting was far superior than any of the others and as i have suspected all along It comes down to who you know on the website, this isn't a fair challenge, All the best to Jen for the future .

Congratulations to the winners and all who took part some great paintings entered, sorry I did not vote I have been away.

Abner Moyle it is not just about the best painting, it is about individual artists improvement how they are growing as artists, what they have learnt from being a part of this community and how each artist tackles new challenges......sometimes well out of thier comfort zone.
If it was just about the best painting you would have the same winners every month.....would that be fair.

Abner...that was not a very nice thing to say. Yes, Jen's was a lovely painting...but one person's lovely may not be the same as another's...

Everyone votes for the paintings that THEY feel touch them the most.

Art truly is in the eye of the beholder...and everyone votes the way they FEEL...

I have three children...and I tell them: If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all...

I could have deleted your post...I do have that power...but I decided to leave it...it certainly does say a lot...and none of it very nice.

I am impressed, once again, at the wide range of paintings that we have attracted to this challenge. It says a LOT for people to get their work out there, to let others see their work...

I'm proud of each and every one of those that entered...

I agree with what you have said. Although there are paintings that don't reach my fancy sometimes, I would never intentionally make the other painters seem less then by saying something as hurtful as that. It is a shame that someone sees this "fun" challenge each month as a medium for an old boys club or old girls club whichever it may be. Maybe Abner should put his paintings up for a challenge. Yes we all have our favourites but that is true in all parts of life, now isn't it???
