I saw this today, and the lady with the umbrella. I was racking my brains, "Where have I seen these paintings?" Went back twice before it occurred to me to look at the label. LOL Duh! Ray Saunders and I were on duty this afternoon in the Imperial. I…

About Me:
I have been wanting to paint since I was a little girl. But not all dreams come true. I won a scholarship at shcool to East Sydney Tech. Then got married, had kids, and not until they were in school did I go back to painting. Attended Hornsby Tech for 4 years. Worked to keep kids in hobbies, then retired and started painting folk art, then moved to other stuff. Since then have won ribbons at Royal Easter, Canberra Agricultural, Gosford Show. Have shared an exhibition with two other friends of like mind. Also do pottery and sculpture. Master your medium is my motto. After that it falls into place. Marina

A Central Coasters' exhibition! Ooh! I like that. I am slowly collecting a number of saleable paintings & drawings, only half of which are framed. I need to get rid of some of the framed ones, my house has a limited amount of useable wall space. LOL Cross your fingers for me next week, I may sell some at the Dobell House Art & Crafts (or should it be Arts & Craft?) Festival next weekend. Pop in if you can, there is some nice stuff for sale. The painters are up in the School Hall which you would have to pass just before you get to Dobells in the next block. I will be there, in the Hall, Saturday morning and Sunday Afternoon. You can meet the other painters, Alan Jenkins & Ray Saunders, both watercolorists and Jean Hurley who does encaustic (wax) painting.
Have you any idea where we could hold the exhibition? Sounds good to me!

You sold one! Holy Dooley! That's great! How wonderful! I really can't decide what's better, winning a prize or actually selling the painting. I am (almost) speechless. Congratulations, Marine. A sale so well deserved, because the painting is so well painted. Fabuloso!

Thank you for commenting on my Giblin Marina. I seem to be struggling with eyes at the moment, oh well keep at it I suppose, but it is frustrating the you know what out of me.

One thing I have learnt from the last year is the only one who will sell your work is you! To try to sell to anyone who will buy...... I just have to get over my lack of self confidence first and give it a go..... but first I have to paint some more to offer them!!! Go on you can do it too......x
