It's a good point. I am still amazed at the accuracy of something that was said to me in a persecuted stance I was and am still in. The more you stand up for something the more will stand against you.
Having studied Qu LeiLei's background, I can understand his infusion of western art into Chinese Paintings.

I do think he is a very talented and deeply thoughtful artist and person. It is a sad thing, but a true thing that people in general do not think so profoundly. It seems that when people do think (at least out loud) they are persecuted, or is it that when people are persecuted it brings out the thoughtfulness.

I believe Qu Lei Lei is still resident in England. I know recently he spent some time in HongKong.
But this man fights very hard to bring an awareness of Chinese Art in Europe. His fight is a hard one. When I went to see him in Oxford last year (2008) his manner was quiet and humble and I dont believe any of the people there had read up on Qu lei lei ata ll, he would have gained more respect than a sexist outburst regarding sexism in early china as if it was is fault.

I wonder why it is, then, that Europe is so pathetically blind to China.
Politically I dont see alot.
Maybe it's just that riddiculous western snobery.
Who knows.
He fights on like I to open the eyes of those who refuse to see.
